Terms & Conditions

HAUNT; TRAVEL GROUP TRIPS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please carefully review this agreement, as it constitutes a legally binding contract.

By participating in a trip organized by Haunt Travel Group (referred to as "the trip"), I acknowledge and consent to the following terms and conditions.

All reservations are made through Haunt Travel Group, a California-based corporation and the proprietor of all advertised itineraries ("haunt Travel," "haunt" "we," or "us"). When you book a trip with us, make a deposit, or sign this agreement, you are accepting all the terms outlined herein on your own behalf and on behalf of all individuals listed on the booking, including any minors under your supervision or care ("Minor" or "Child") (referred to individually as "Traveler" and collectively as "Travelers"). You are also authorizing us to provide services for each Traveler.

These terms and conditions constitute the full agreement between you, the Traveler ("you" or "your"), and Haunt Travel Group concerning any bookings, reservations, trips, or transactions made with us. By signing this agreement, you also agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct.

Trip Details

Haunt Travel Group will make every effort to provide trip attendees with a comprehensive and accurate itinerary at the beginning of the trip.

Changes to the Itinerary

You acknowledge and understand that Haunt Travel Group reserves the right to alter or modify the trip itinerary, with or without prior notice, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Please be aware that no price reduction or partial refund will be granted if such changes are deemed necessary by Haunt Travel Group.

In cases of modifications leading to increased trip costs beyond haunt's reasonable control, Haunt Travel Group will inform you of the additional expenses. You agree to cover any extra costs associated with such modifications or reimburse Haunt; Travel Group for any increased expenditures incurred on your behalf.

Payment

Full payment is required before the trip commences.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the necessity for Haunt Travel Group to make arrangements with its suppliers well in advance of a trip, ALL PAYMENTS MADE FOR A HAUNT; TRIP ARE NON-REFUNDABLE should you decide to cancel for any reason. Nevertheless, Haunt Travel Group reserves the right to issue refunds on a case-by-case basis if deemed appropriate.

Cancellations by You and Unused Services

Any cancellations made by you will result in the forfeiture of your deposit and any other payments made to us for your trip, all of which are non-refundable. We are unable to make exceptions to this refund policy. Consequently, we strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance for all travelers in your group, including trip cancellation/interruption coverage, to safeguard your financial investment in the trip. Additional details regarding our cancellation policy are provided below, and we encourage you to review it carefully.

Multi-day Small Group Trips with Scheduled Departure Dates

If you book a multi-day trip more than 60 days prior to the departure date, a non-refundable deposit of up to 40% of the trip cost is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before the departure date. If you make a booking within 60 days or less before the trip departure date, the entire trip cost must be paid at the time of confirmation. Failure to pay the balance by the 60-day deadline will result in the cancellation of your booking by you, leading to the loss of your entire deposit and all funds collected from you.

Unless specific cancellation and refund policies apply to your trip, the following standard cancellation policy applies to private multi-day trips:

  • If you book a private multi-day trip more than 60 days before the departure date, a non-refundable deposit of up to 40% of the trip cost is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the departure date.

  • If you book a private multi-day trip within 60 days or less before the departure date, the entire trip cost must be paid at the time of confirmation.

Special Cancellation and Refund Terms:

Special cancellation and refund terms may apply to your trip due to Force Majeure reasons (e.g., during a pandemic such as coronavirus) or as necessitated by your trip (e.g., suppliers with specific deposit and cancellation requirements).

Cancellations

i. If you choose to cancel your trip, the following fees apply upon receipt of your cancellation notice:

  • 61+ days prior to departure: up to 40% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.

  • 0 to 60 days prior to departure: 100% of the trip cost is non-refundable.

ii. If you fail to pay the balance of your trip no later than 60 days before the departure date, your booking will be considered canceled by you, resulting in the loss of your entire deposit and all funds collected from you.

Credit/Debit Card Chargeback Policy

We strive to ensure customer satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with our services for any reason, you agree not to initiate a chargeback with your credit or debit card company until we have had an opportunity to address the issue.

By signing this agreement, you commit to working with us in good faith to resolve any disputes and acknowledge that chargebacks are not an appropriate means to bypass our cancellation and refund policies.

Refunds

Bookings are made through our online booking system, and deposit and payment schedules are outlined in this document. Please review these schedules carefully, as they vary based on the type of trip (e.g., private vs. non-private, multi-day vs. single day). Note that a booking is only considered confirmed once we provide written confirmation.

Expenses specifically excluded from the trip rates, and the sole responsibility of each Traveler, include airfare, ground transportation to/from the trip start and end, travel insurance, passport and visa costs, excess baggage charges, gratuities/tips, personal expenses (such as drinks, laundry, room service), activities beyond the scheduled itinerary, Covid-related expenses (whether mandatory or voluntary, such as testing or quarantine), communication costs (calls, faxes, emails), international airport departure tax (to be paid in US dollars or acceptable foreign currencies), and excursions or deviations from any trip itinerary.

We are not responsible for deposits, payments, policies, or penalties related to services not included in our package, such as airline tickets, separate hotel reservations, or other items arranged by you independently.

Unused Portion of Trip (no refunds)

No refunds will be issued for unused services, early departures, late arrivals, or missed days of your itinerary for any reason. Once the tour has commenced, no refunds will be provided.

Please note that if a disruption caused by Covid-19 prevents you from taking your trip, we will aim to provide flexibility for rescheduling, but our cancellation policy will still apply if you decide to cancel. The level of flexibility will depend on our suppliers' policies.

No refunds will be given for any unused portion of your tour, including if you are quarantined, denied exit/reentry by a government, or refused services due to infectious disease symptoms.

Additionally, we will not be liable or owe you a refund for illness or disease contracted during your tour, or if a third party refuses services due to symptoms of infectious disease.

There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, even in cases of weather-related issues, civil strife, personal, family, or medical emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and interruption insurance to safeguard your investment.

Alterations or Cancellation by You After Commencement of Travel

Change or Cancellation Request

Requests to modify our itineraries must be submitted in writing and may result in significant fee increases. To change your booking, please send written notice to us via email at info@haunt.travel.

For any changes we accept, change fees will be applied per person as outlined in these Program Terms & Conditions, based on the date we receive your written notification.

You acknowledge that changes or cancellations made by you at any time, before or during the trip, may result in the forfeiture of all monies paid as described in this agreement. Therefore, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including trip cancellation/interruption coverage, to protect your financial investment.

Unused Services

No refunds will be provided for unused services, early departures, late arrivals, involuntary program removal, or missed days of your itinerary for any reason.

Illness-Related Refunds

In cases where you exhibit symptoms of or test positive for an infectious disease and are quarantined or refused services by a supplier, Haunt; Travel LLC. does not provide refunds for any unused portion of your trip. We bear no liability for losses, damages, or injuries resulting from illness during the Program or supplier refusals due to infectious disease symptoms.

Examples include virus contraction at a booked hotel, denied service due to communicable illness symptoms, inability to board a plane due to illness, or self-quarantine requirements.

Cancellations or Modifications by Us and Flexibility

We retain the right to cancel, modify, or adjust any trip without prior notice for various reasons, including client safety, comfort, or Force Majeure circumstances, as defined in this agreement. This encompasses changes to guides, accommodations, itinerary, schedule, or order of visitation due to unforeseen local events, mechanical issues, flight cancellations, strikes, weather, political disputes, and border crossing problems. In the event of significant changes stemming from supplier issues, we will promptly inform you of available alternatives.

Force Majeure

We are not considered in breach of this agreement or responsible for delayed performance or non-performance of obligations due to actions or inactions under Force Majeure circumstances. Force Majeure covers events beyond our control such as natural disasters, terrorism, government interventions, health organization warnings, border closures, weather conditions, and unforeseen situations.

In cases where Force Majeure substantially impacts our ability to deliver services, we may cancel, modify, postpone, or reschedule the trip. Regrettably, we won't provide compensation for costs, and refunds will adhere to supplier refund policies.

Optional Activities

During our trips, you may have opportunities to partake in activities not included in our standard packages. Haunt; does not vouch for the safety or quality of these activities and events, which are typically operated independently. Any assistance we offer to arrange these activities is done in good faith without warranties. We do not sponsor or endorse these events and are not liable for any injuries or illnesses resulting from your participation.
